okay so i have tried everything...well at least ive tried everything i know...okay so the car is getting fuel and spark but not starting up...i pulled the fuel rail off with injectors still in it and cranked it, fuel is coming...i stuck spark plugs in the wires and its sparking, so spark is coming...

i have spent all day trying to adjust the timing on the distirbutor and it is not starting, it stumbles like its going to start but wont start...other then that it just cranks...is there a speacial way of doing this???i did it according to the fsm, and a write up here in the tech pages....

can some one give some tips on how to do it right or tricks i got to do to get it right...this has been going on for 3 days now and i cant get it done...i need your help...

your dizzy timing is off..best way to get back to a fundamental starting point is to find TDC..or top dead center..to do this the easy way...remove the spark plugs..all of them...put a piece of tiolet paper in the sparkplug area kinda waded up...donot crank the engine..but " bump" the ignition over..when the TP pops out..thats top dead center on the compretion stroke...check your dizzy and see if your a few teeth off...keep us posted.

okay i have took the spark plug out and stuck a rod in there, turned the crank until piston #1 was all the way up...every time, then adjusted the distributor every way i can...the best i got it was to make it stumble like it was going to start but it would not start...
