Hey guys, while i was removing my 98 ka motor and slapping in another 95 ka motor i ran into a wiring harness problem.

1st off, on my 98 motor, there are 2 snap on connectors at the throttle body vs the single connector on the 95 throttle body.

2nd: While I was going down the line on the fuel rail section, hooking up all the fuel injectors, once I got down toward the water temp sensor area, my 98 wiring harness had 2 connectors that i had no-match for on the 95 ka motor and one other that looked like it would hook up to but it just didnt quite match up, so i had to leave that connection on the motor open.

So that may explain why the motor would not even crank over. I then thought it was the starter so i went to check it out and noticed that the starter from the 98 and the starter from the 95 looked different. My 98 starter only has one nut and screw and the 95 starter has 2 buts and screws on the back side of the starter. Maybe I just slapped the 4 gauge positive wire on the wrong side... ahh, who cares, the car is totalled out.

Anyways, why is it that the 98 has a dual plug on the throttle body and why is it that the 98 wiring harness has more connections to the motor than the 95...??

If u need pics, let me know and i can take some to better explain what im talking about..

ThanksRobert
