I just purchased some cam gears from JWT and I am going to retard my intake by 4 degrees and my exhaust by 6 degrees (at the cam, not the crank). I know the duration is 232 for each, but I need to know where the intake and exhaust cams are installed in relation to crank angle. I am thinking the intake centerline will be around 105, but I would like to know the exact specs before I tinker too much.
Does anyone out there have cam gears w/ a stock cam? If so, what settings have worked out best for you? I obviously don't have a dyno to tune on, and you need to remove the valve cover to adjust these gears, so I'd like a good reference point to start at.
Any comments are welcome!
Thanks guys,Dave
