My doors lock most of the time when I close the driver side door, keys in ignition. Sometimes they lock when I start the car. Sometimes they lock when I open passenger door and close. Is this the door lock timer?

ThanksRichard

Welcome to NICO!!

You need an actuator. These are known to go with age.

Thanks for the response. Is this the same as the door lock timer?

I have the same issue. Should I replace the door lock timer or the door lock actuator?

Carlos at fuzzy cats says if they lock on their own its the timer .If you can lock and unlock the door with the rocker switch in the door the actuators are ok .

It seems to be the door lock timer.

In the pdf file that carlos from fuzzycats wrote, he stated that you can get the part from TJ. What is TJ?

I called the dealership for the door lock timer and it was $161.

Carlos said it was $65 from TJ.

help?

Thanks
