95 J30 wont start

i have a 95 J30 that i put a new battery and stater in when i bought it it was running for a week fine and than it just didnt start i turn the key i have power radio and stuff goes on but noting happens i been using a srewdriver for now but really getting sick of that i treid starting in neutaral still nothing and than the other day went to use it and started right up with no srewdriver anybody have an idea what it is im about to junk tis pos
