So what will it take ot bolt it up to my 95 240? I do not have ABS and I know that the J30's came with ABS as stock opt... would I need to do anything at all?? I did a search and it saw something along the lines that it will bolt up with no problem but can someone confirm that for me please???

i put a 97 j30 rear with vlsd and abs sensor in my 95 240. the j30 rear is longer so you will need a shorter drive shaft. if your present shaft is in good condition you can have it shortened. i had about 100 thou on mine so i put a new one in for a 240 with abs. you could also have a one piece shaft made. other wise it bolted right in.

You should be able to make it work... although I haven't gotten mine yet.

shortening the drive should \n't cost more than 100. if that much .a new one piece about 200. our drive shafts are non servicable. you can't replace the u joints. when they get stiff you can't rebalance the shortened shaft. i like the vlsd it made the swap worth it.

I tlaked to wuite a few people and they say you don't need ot shorten it because we have htat much play in our DS because of the joints. People have put it in with no modifications and have had no problems at all so far.,..

Yup, thats right, you dont really need your driveshaft shortened. It has enough play in it so you can push it back far enough to attach back to the LSD. This is what I did when I put my J30 diff in.

Does anyone know how much of a larger bolt I'll need to put the j30 LSD into my s13???? I heard I'd need the bolts from either the s14 or the j30 to make it work, but I was hoping to be able to just buy the bolts at ACE or someplace.... OOhhh, and how about the washer mods I've read about for the mount bushings? How does that work???Thanks~!!!!

PS - I've searched, people talk about it, but dont explain in detail....just want to cover the technical stuff before I install mine....
