Welcome to the board. Easy on the CAPS LOCK key, please!

Have you checked your battery under load and the alternator?

Junkyard parts or 25% discount parts from Scotsdale Infiniti via Inet.

12 year old systems often need replacement.

How often did you have brake fluid flushed? Never?

Not good. Since you now have cultivated a relationship with your local friendly Infiniti service writer, why don't you very nicely (and with perhaps a little inducement like lunch) have him or her print out the Infiniti dealer performed service history. One should never even look at, much less buy, an Infinit befire obtaining its Service History. It might take a day or two because the early years may be archived. You can also get it read to you by Infiniti Customer Service when you register yourself as teh cars owner.

Then we can all have a better idea where you stand with regards to maintenance.

And get your alternator tested as it is cheaper and easier.

BTW, how did the brake fluid appear?

In regards to brake fluid I did not have an opportunity to look at it as they do not let customers in the service area. I have owned the Q45 for 5 years & the tcs & abs lighted just started to go on about 1 month ago. The infinti adviser told me that the mechanic who was working on my car had a Q45 & put on my car a Tcs actuator from his car & that solved the problem. He then took it off & put back my defective actuator. The mechanic advised me that I should not spend $1400.00 to fix the lights & just ignore the lights.Since I live in Florida he said I really don't need tcs or abs.I wonder if there is a way to remove the tcs &abs light bulbs?By the way I really enjoy driving the Q45 & although I have Mercedes convertible I usually let my wife drive the convertible. I have 75,000miles on the Q45

My point was somethings don't fail so soon with out HELP from owners.

Not changing/flushing the brake fluid is a good way to create expensive problems.

Just like not using soft as oem tires will cause the ABS and TCS to activate more frequently wearing things sooner.

Usually PM is less expensive than failures to a point but one never knows the exact cross over point. New fluids can only do so much.

Are you getting a discount on insurance from having ABS? Willful failure to repair could be considered insurance fraud. The air bag memory flags records failures prior to impact so investigators can see your ABS wasn't working.

A few months ago my ABS and TCS lights stayed on. Found a post here recommending to change out the two relays which are sorta under the battery. $40 later the lights were out.

While the TCS may not be as necessary where you live, the TCS equipped cars do have a 4 channel ABS system which I would not defeat as it works wonders in the rain, especially if you have to steer and brake simultaneously.

I have replaced the 2 relays under the battery & it has not helped. Either the tcs actuator or tcs reservoir or throttle actuator is humming when I start the car until the tcs & slp lights go on. I found by removing the TCS square fuse the tcs light comes & the the slip light comes on but there is no humming from the engine. What would suggest be my next move?
