95 infiniti J30 power steering problem

My power steering seems to go off and on where it makes the steering wheel hard to turn. I too it to a dealer to service it and they told me it was the steering control module with part number 2850010Y10. I was told a chip on the circuit board is loose and that the control module needs to be replaced. I would like to get a another opinion. I have found another control module and would like to install it myself. Can someone give me instruction?
