okay ive read the relevent threads but htere is a conflict of information here: im about to get my s13 running with an s14 head, the shop called and told me that there is no oil gallery to get oil to a gear bearing on the front of the engine (?)
going from one thread here, it says you should use the s13 valve and front timing covers. the other says use s14. so which is it to be able to run oil to this area with no leaks? im confused :P
i need an answer for the shop asap so i can get my car back. what front cover/valve cover do i need? is there anything else i should know about getting my car back together? any knowledge would be appreciated, as long as it correct!
95 head on 93 block quick ?
the upper front cover(the 1 that covers the upper timing chain & holds the distributor) and the valve cover both have to be same year as the year of the head. Mostly because the S14 head has another bolt @ the back in between the 2 corner bolts, and another bolt on top, and the bolts are bigger too i believe.

i believe you on this one, it makes much more sense than the other way around... my next question is, will te s14 cover solve the oiling prob? and where can i get an s14 cover guys? can anyone help me out on this one? thanks!
