Couldn't find it using Search, but will a 95' 240sx engine harness work on a 96.' I need an engine harness for the ka24de I'm putting in my s13 since it came cut up. Everything looks identical except for a couple of plugs near the front of the motor. Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks! I went to the junkyard and took it off a 95 thinking it was going to work since it looked identical, but there's a plug near the front that doesn't match. What year can I buy from? Thanks alot!

Actually the 95, 96, and 97-98 are all slightly different. But they can be modified to work. Some of the pins to the ECU are in different places. You should be able to make it work simply by swapping the correct pins within the harness. I think Chiltons has a manual for the S14's now and should have a wiring diagram in it if you get the blue colored version. Just compare each model. And you can probably do some simple wiring to get around the problem with the different harness connection.

Sweet! Thanks! I hope I can modify the 95. I guess I'm going to the library or to the large book store here in town to get that! Thanks!

The 95 harnes will work, but do either 2 things.1) swap intake manifolds, and use the 95 manifold. YOu may however run into problems with this seeing as how the computer may react funny to the different harness. Most of the time, the comuter is designed to read only the harness that goes with it. 2) start pluggin stuff up, youll notice that a few things are different for you harness. one being the tps...youll have to switch the throttle bodies to get this to work, the tps's arent the same...so you cant get by juts swithing them out, they bolt up differently. Also, you will have to use the 95 coolant temp sensor to get it to mate with the harness. This, of course , is if youre ecu will accept the 95 harness' readings. Be careful. The difference is resistances, and ohms could possibly fry your ecu. Doubtful, but I dont get surprised by anything anymore with these cars.
