Hey, so I'm new here and I'm hopin' somebody can help me figure out what I did or what's wrong. so to start my brother-in-law and I just finished a whole bunch of work on my sister's G20 such as replaced the clutch bearing (had to drop the whole transmission) so naturally a few things got unplugged. another is we fixed a starter issue (recessed pin in a plug). and the last thing was I had to turn the engine by hand multiple times to finally figure out I had accidentally put the distributor back on 180 degrees out. now, the issue I can't figure out: the car runs fine (better than it did before actually), however the CEL was on I assumed it was because we had started and run the car with the air system off (air filter, air box, all the black ducting, and the IAT and MAF were unplugged). when I got the code read it came up with IAT and MAF obviously, but with a third code for the CKP...as far as I know I didn't mess with the ckp or it's wiring other than turning the engine by the crankshaft pulley; could that somehow mess up the ckp? I had the cel reset to see if it would come on again. drove down the road for half an hour, nothing. shut it off for a few hours, came back and started it up and the light came on. I haven't gotten it read, but I can pretty well assume it's at least the ckp code again if not the maf and iat with it. also the car would run very rough and low idle when the maf is unplugged, but returns to normal running as soon as it's plugged in again...I don't believe that's good from what I've read on other forums, so basically; is it normal for the car to act this way with the maf unplugged? if not, what's causing it? and could I have messed up the ckp somehow? help is much appreciated.
