95 engine into 96 car, question

there is a bottle on the left side of the car in front of the air cleaner box that has 4 ports for hoses on it. 3 on top, and one rather large one coming out the bottom I have no idea what this is, although I think the one from the 96 car that was melted had less hose ports than the 95 one. I only have 2 hoses left to hook to anything that I can find. can someone tell me what this is and how important it is? It looked like the 95 had a lot more things that looked like brake lines also...thanks
