I posted this in the KA24DE section, but nobody has answered. So I'll try here. Is there a difference between the auto and manual ENGINE wire harness?(not the transmission harness, the engine bay harness). I have a 95 auto with a 5 speed swap and i need to change the ENGINE harness do to a lot of broken plugs. Since the motor was originally an auto, do i still need an auto harness or can i use a manual harness? Are the tps plugs different or any other plugs different?

Well, you can take the motor and swap it back and forth with the same model year without any issue, so I doubt the harness is any different. If it is, just mod the two. But I think they are the same. I can't think of a single sensor that the auto would need over the 5 spd for the motor side anyway.

thanks, the only thing i was worried about was the TPS really, but i stopped at Auto Zone and had them pull both manual and auto TPS's and other than them functioning differently they both plugged up the same.

thanks for your reply WD that cleared it up for me.

They both are interchangeable, the engine will run. Since your only doing the upper harness your set and good to go.
