I have removed the heat shield from drivers side to get to the nut at bottom of tube. Sprayed it with PB Blaster and will let it soak tonight. Any chance it will come loose with out a lot of cussing? I'm guessing I can snake the tube behind the motor after i get it all loose. Right?

Got it out today. What a pain! The large nut on the steel tube attached to EGR Valve was situated with one of the hex points lined up with the 12 mm mount bolt. That prohibited and use of a socket on that 12mm bolt. After cutting a 12mm wrench off and bending the handle in 3 different angles, I was finely able to get a small pipe on the wrench handle and break it loose. A crows foot would not work in that situation either, I tried it. Anyway, the valve seems to function correctly. I cleaned it with carb cleaner and compressed air. The small vac line from bottom of BPT valve to EGR has a large hole in it. I will put a new one on there. Also replacing other old vac lines. My MPG was only about 19 to 20 MPG. Also had P0400 EGR flow malfunction code. Would this bad vac hose cause this?
