I've come down to find out that my tps may be the cause of my fluctuating horrible idle, but before I replace my tps I just had a quick question. my 14 is a 96, and I recently found out the ecu is from a manual 95. I was wondering if the tps on the 95 was a single plug than the double plug 96 version, and if there was a difference in resistance or volts for the different years. I read that when plugging in a earlier ecu, you'd have to unplug your evap selonoid. any help would be appreciated!

All nissan tps sensors are 0-5 v. It's possible different ecus have different base voltage settings (what you set the voltage to when throttle is closed) but there are 2 types, auto and manual. Both give out the same voltage to the ecu but a automatic trans tps has closed throttle and wot signals that go to the tcu. Either can be used for a manual trans vehicle.

update
So I looked up the writeup on adjusting tps and I noticed when my car is off but with the ignition on my voltage is at about .48. As soon as I start the motor the voltage springs up to about .68 with closed throttle. What would be the cause of this? Would this be the reason why my idle is acting terrible?

That's out of range so these would be a start.
