Is this an actual ECU? The seller lists this as an ECM PCM. If it is the ECU, will it work for a "90?

]ECM PCM = ECU?

Also, what is the function of the Body Control Module?

It looks like the ECU, but I wouldn't put it in your 90Q. The shift points for the transmission are different due to different gearing after 1994, and who knows what else wouldn't interface. As best I can tell, any 90-93 ECU will work in non-active models. Active models need an ECU from an active car. The CA ECUs may set off the check engine light due to different sensors and parameters to meet stricter emissions guidelines.

Not sure on the BCM... maybe something to do with active suspension?

Looks exactly like the ECU, but I'm wary of the compatibility among years, plus I think it depends on the car's options.ECM PCM = Electronic Control Module Programmable Control Module? Seller probably not very knowledeble. The other item is probably the TCU, but I'm not certain since I've never pulled mine.

I wasn't considering buying it. This was more of a fact finding thread. Besides, the guy must not be very knowledgabe due to the lack of information listed in his auctions. Also, most of the parts he's listed states they will also fit '97 models. Seems like someone found a Q, stripped it down into every conceivable part, & said "Hey, I can make some money!"

An ECU from a Standard 90-93 Q will work in a Active that has been converted. There is only 4 lines of code diff in a upgraded ECU (JWT< G Force> timing > rpm limit> mph limiter) .An a Active will work in a Standard, one of the differences is the processor they were changed ? ( more than 10) in three years. A 95 Q ECU has different emissions and processor , which at the very least would be an engine light on all the time. The processor in the 95 has a flash memory instead of a single eprom like the 90-93...

Wiring harness changed in '94. That's a big line in the sand.
