The iacv is on the back of the intake manifold. It is four bolts. Many times, you can take it out, take it apart and clean it. Although, if you are getting a CEL from it, more than likely it is the motor operation that is throwing the cel and it will need to be replaced. You can also check operation by taking it off and turning on the key and watching the plunger move. There is another way listed in the fsm that you check the terminal continuity or something to that effect as well. Google around, I have seen write ups on how to do it for the KA.
