95 Altima airbag light blinking

The airbag light is blinking on my 95 altima. Wondering how to check which airbag is loose or gone bad. I remember I asked Scott about this one a way whiles back but never got around to it, now I can't find that old thread. Sorry for not getting on it sooner and now shafting you again with the same question but the search isn't pulling it up either.

get in car turn the key to the on position, do not start the car. within 10 secs push the door switch 7 times. or if that doesnt work push the door switch multiple times and THEN turn the key on within 10secs. I cant remember which way it is, I have done the procedure like twice in 10yrs with nissan..lol Any how when you do it right the dome light will start flashing a code. each code will be seperated by a pause. they are all single digit codes. I suspect its airbag control unit. You do know there was a recall on the early altima passenger airbag right?

A recall eh? I wonder if this car had the bags replaced...if not, now would be a killer time to get it done...Thanks for the info, it'll be worth looking into. That makes like a keg I owe you or something for all the help man.

EITHER SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THAT VIN OR ITS BEEN PURGED FROM NISSANS SYSTEM MEANING ITS BEEN DONE IF IT HAS BEEN PURGED. oops have to use caps lock on NNA sorry about that. The part of your vin that looks fishy to me is "1DXSC" that sequence doesnt look correct please verify.

1N4BU31DXSC210175 is the vin. Just checked it against the sticker and the plate on the dash. I also tried the 7x press the door pin switch then putting the key to "on" and also the key to "on" and 7x and neither method caused the dome light to flash at me.

yea your vin is not coming up in DCS so it must have had all recalls done already. Let me look in the service manual today and see if it lists the manual airbag procedure. Like I said I have only done it twice and the last times was over 5 yrs ago.
