So I was driving the other day and started to loose power, within a few blocks i was barely accelerating at a red light ("blub..blub..blub) then I stalled turning into a bus stop. Anyways when the tow guy came he boosted me and it started but as soon as he disconected it died. So my alternator is shot.

So I went to pick-n-pull and grabbed one off a 1995 pathfinder, I have a 1994. The lady told me they were not the same. I poked around and heard different answers, but was wondering if anyone had any other input.

My vin is:

JN8HD17Y0RW206636

The vin off the junker is:

jn8hd17y2sw047351

I'll trand attach some relevent photos I took of the "new" one

Ok I dont know how,

The new alternator has a sticker that says:

12VOA
Hitachi
23100 0S200
LR170 745
4YV

Do a 90A Maxima alternator upgrade instead. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/ ... lternator/

That other board says you can do this swap on an '01 PF but it would be a step backwards. '01 FSM says it's a 110A alternator.
