A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Hi everyone... Im kinda new here and been doinga lot of research on some cars. I am a big Mustang fan, I have a 00GT with a some work. Well anyway I need a car that is good on gas and reliable. I was debating the 200SE-R, the 88-97 (i know they are 2 different styles) 240sx, 94-97 Prelude and 94-98 Celica. Well so far I have really come to like the 200SE-R and the Prelude. Does the SE-R make a pratical daily drive? How is the gas milage? Anything I should look out for? Is the G20 like SE-R or are just the motors the same?thanks everyone

SE-Rs make a very practical (and fun) dd. Gas mileage runs in the upper 20mpg range for the most part. As far as what to look out for, 91-94 SE-Rs have a 5th gear pop-out issue. Beyond that, it's just general maintenance like any other car.

G20s are like SE-Rs, but have slightly different chassis and all have 4 doors, as opposed to 2 for SE-Rs 91-98 (with the 4 door 98-99 Sentra SE-L and 00-01 Sentra SE also having the same-ish SR20 motor). G's are a little more comfort-minded, but are still quick and fun.

IMO, as a daily, the extra comfort and practicality of the G would make it a slightly better candidate, but you certainly can't go wrong with either.

I have to agree that the G20 would be your best daily driver. More luxury, more room and just as much power. Although I'm not knocking the b13, b14 or NX, since I have owned all but the 200sx. Put for practical everyday family purposes, G20 hands down.
