How do I disable the factory alarm? It has started to go off a lot for no reason lately. And now when I try to start my car most times, it starts real slow like the battery is low. I think that the alarm going off all the time is draining my battery! Help!

Well, the starting slow problem was the starter, but I am still having problems with the alarm.

I was told that I can disable it by locking and unlocking the passenger side door. That didn't work. Is there a fuse or something that I can safely remove to disable this anoying alarm????

Will that just stop it or disable it?

I don't want it going off ever again.

Mine had a switch under the steering wheel, except a lot of times I would hit it with my leg when getting out of the car. So it would go off on me in the morning, even if I unlocked my door, as soon as I touched the handle it would go off. So I just put the switch in the off position, and then put it inside the steering column, now I can't hit it at all. Plus I cut the wires going to the speaker, so if it goes off when I reconnect the battery I just see my lights flash instead of the annoying sound.

It hasn't happened too much recently. Seems it pretty much stopped right about the time I had to get the starter replaced. But I'm sure that's just coincidence.

Next time it happens though, I'm gunna start cutting wires!

mine's getting worst. it does it about 8 times a day so i disconected the horns but the problem is i also have a aftermarket alarm and when the factory alarm goes off it sets off the other alarm. Now i have the horns disconected and my other alarm disconected so no one gets my car car towed. SUCK DOESN'T IT.
