95 240sx wont rev up

hey i need some help. the distributor on my car went out so i changed it out. car was running fine before the distributor went out. i changed it and now that i put in the new one the car will start but wont rev up past 1000rpm. could it be the timing? pls post back. thx

You most likely simply just put it back in wrong. You're most likely off a tooth or two.

Set the motor at tdc for cylinder 1 and when you put in the distributor the rotor should face the beginning of spart plug wire 1. At least on mine that's how it went...

i could try agian but i did put it in at top dead center.

your timing is off forshure, recheck it make sure your motor is on tdc, and line up the distributer, though the dualcams distributer is the most bitchiest thing to put in

make sure you did not disconnect the airflow meter
