Help!!!!

I'm havin issues w/ my s14 not running, i start it up, it starts up fine but then it just stalls right after that....

I checked all my body grounds, fuses, relays, & my fuel pump is ok, im getting fuel thru the filter (didnt really check pressure, dont have a gauge...) im pretty sure im gettin spark, again it starts up perfect.

The only other thing i can think of is that my alternator is bad...

Also it doesn't respond to the gas pedal, it sounds as if it were starving for air or sumthn

I dont kno if it matters but i also should mention the harness was taken out 4 some repairs i needed to do, so i fished it back in thru the firewall and so far have everything connected back except the a/c components

a friend said i needed 2 have the ecm grounded but it didnt make a difference

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

No check engine light? Sounds like it could be TPS or TPS wiring. Older Nissans used wide open throttle as fuel cut during start up in case the car flooded out, so it's totally possible for the TPS to kill fuel injector pulse.

Hey dwer, welcome to Nicoclub. It might be worth pulling the radio and checking all the wires to make sure nothing is fried back there. I have seem poor radio installations cause alot of problems. Sounds to me like it just may be a blown fuse or fusible link. Will the car not crank at all? Or does it crank and then not start? If there is no cranking and it's a manual trans., can you push start the car? If it won't crank, do you at least have power for the gauges or headlights. Alot of times you can narrow a problem down by finding out what else does not work. Give me a little more info. and also, you may want to start a new thread of your own in the "240sx tech" section or the "Nissan online mechanic" section. If you do start a new thread, let me know what the title is so you don't loose me. Good luck and keep me posted

Hey Carmo. The car will not crank at all and its an automatic. Im getting power to light the gauges. Also the hazard lights do work and the dome light. The rear lights also work and my brake light as well. Other than that the headlights will not work. The turn signals do not work. The windshield wipers, the AC or heater do not work. The horn doesnt work as well. I took the stereo out and the fuse is not burned out, doesnt seem like any of the stereo wires are shorted out. ive taken a look at the fusible links and they seem to be working unless im testing them the wrong way.Im using resistance to check them on my multimeter. Could the ignition switch be the problem or the ignition resistor? I appreciate your advice.

So the hazards work but the turn signals do not. The dome light does work but the head lights do not. Make sure the key is in the "ON" position and not just "ACC". You could think that it is ignition switch related because hazards, dome light and brake lights work whenever (key on or off) but the headlights should too. Yea, checking for continuity through the fusible link is a good check but sometimes they barely fail and can still check good. So, make sure you look in the little window and move the tabs around to verify there is no break. Get test light and start checking fuses. With the key in the "ON" position, ground the test light and touch the little metal piece on one side of the back of the fuse, the test light should light up, and then touch the metal piece on the other side. If the test light doesn't light up that fuse is bad. Check all the fuses and after that you may want to get yourself a factory service manual and study the wiring diagrams to see if you can find a common point. A point where if it failed it would kill three or four other circuits. Good luck and keep me posted.
