Ok.. I started out with a beat up shell.... found a KA24DE out of a 96 auto and swapped out the pilot bushing.. put a clutch and flywheel in and a s13 5spd transmission. pluged up everything except for alternator and MAF... the 240sx had the security system on it and that might have something to do with it.. but...

IT WONT TURN OVER... the selinoid clicks and I've check fuses and relays, even changed starters. is there a trick to this or is it the alarm?

It could be the alarm, but since you were messing around in that area are you sure the wire to the solenoid on the starter is plugged in? Try getting a wire, hooking it to the positive terminal, and then touch it to the solenoid on the starter. See if it turns over.

also dont forget to check the ignition switch, as they tend to come apart.

eliminate the security system, they usually have a ignition kill switch with the security system installed, good theft deturant for the previous owner, headache for you, eliminate the ign solinoid n hook it back up stock u should be good from there

i hooked a hot wire to the solenoid and the to positive terminal on the battery.. and it didn't do anything... theres only one wire that hooks to the starter and the other one that clips in.. i been so aggravated with this car.. tempted to get another one thats already running.

There should be to places to run straight power to one is constant power feed to the starter at all time and one is the solenoid you would almost do better jumping those two and see if it tries to turn over if not then if you dont have a voltmeter then jump power to both is all I can tell you.

i'm getting power to the main wire on the solenoid and the wire that has the clip on it is a negative charge. and the engine is grounded. and checking fuses again the stater signal fuse is getting juice when the starter solenoid is clicking. maybe i just happen to have 3 bad starters?

Check voltage at the solid 12v supply also while cranking to make sure your not getting a voltage drop you could have a bad starter cable.
