95 240sx tachmeter(rpm meter) acting strange

im wondering whats wrong with my tach meter, when i start the engine it would be way off, idling at 2100 rpm while my engine is idling at 700-800 rpm, should i just replace it or can i fix it? a nissan tech told me to just replace it, if so how much and where can i get one?

Same here... Tach will swing wildly from let to right regardless of what the actual RPM is! Odometer / Tripometer doesn't work either. Best bet to replace the whole intrument cluster from a salvage yard or is there an aftermarket alternative?

exaxtly, iono if the aftermarket ones are better i, but best luck is to just find a working one
