95 240sx Overheating

Hi

i have a 95 240sx when i drive around i notice my car overheats. the engine has been making some noise lately and when i rev over 3k rpm i get a loud sqeek from the engine? Im not sure if it is the water pump? or a belt? also the thermostat and rad. cap is good. Thanks!

i don't think it would be ur thermostat. that would have to stay closed in order for the car to overheat. if that was the case the temperature would just keep rising. but the car squeeks. sounds like it could be ur water pump. the water pump sounds like it can't keep up with the engine itself.

try checkin for any leaks within the cooling system. hopefully its external. if its internal then that means ur coolant is gonna mix with ur oil making it lose its lubricating abilities. that can eventually lead to ur bearings and bearing inserts being shot. and thats really expensive to repair.

question. is it the original radiator?

yes i just bought a new water pump n clutch fan. Im preddy sure thats the problem.
