Hey all,

I've tried searching for info on how to remove the AAC/IAC (same valve?) for a cleaning. The FSM doesn't have anything on it, and it seems to be in a VERY VERY hard to get at location. It looks like I need to disassemble a lot of the left side components (ABS actuator?) just to get at it. Is there a how-to on this? I found a reference to a post in a search, but the link is broken.

Hey Vanbc. Thanks for replying. Great write-up btw!

Does your 91 240 have ABS? The ABS actuator on the left side is blocking my access to the IACV. Completely. I thinking I may have to remove it (a huge PITA) to get access.

I dont have ABS. Some people drill a hole in the rubber hose and spray a can of carb cleaner in while engine running. The gunk in my iacv was just carbon dust which would easily dissolve.

Rubber hose is circled in red.
