95 240sx engine swap

My son in Florida has a stock 240 that blew the motor last night.What year motors interchange and what needs to be changed?He was told because of the sensors that only a 95 would work.

depends if its a obd1 or obd2.

if its obd2 i believe you can use 96,97,98 engine but may need to do some things for the 97,98 to work. but the 95,96 engines are the same i believe.

im not sure about obd1 91-95 i think he may have to do alot of things for it to work.

do some reasearch online, their is plenty of threads talking about it.
