95 240sx dead start

Got some issues my 240 wont start... I dont get any power even with the jumpstart battery hooked up. I recently lost the hood (long story) and it has been sitting with out a hood(about 2weeks). I played with the wireing and it comes and goes but I still cant get it to start. I had trouble with it not wanting to start before it sat up. clicks and pops sometimes but it would eventually start. I played with it for about an hour today and nothing. It has a new battery and cable connections are good...
