definitely: velour interior over cloth, 5 lug 16" alloy rims

more likely to have: spoiler, sunroof, cd player

and options only avaliable on se`s: the famous abs/vlsd package, leather, and dont quote me on this for th 95 but iThink at least the kouki`s (97-98) had a 6cd trunk mount changer option.

for that matter, dont quote me on any of that, but im fairly sure to certain about all of it.

advice, get an se, a friend bought a base 95, and vs mine he has to spend a thousand on some hubs and spindles before any good rims or brakes fit on his.

plus they just look a world better with those 16s: http://home.earthlink.net/~tryiian/MRC and http://ipod.homeunix.com/uk/kaptures/14s/MR-Z/

Slightly firmer stock suspension I believe as well. On the up side, a base model weighs less.

Nope, you got it backwards. You have to do a 5 lug swap to do that Z brake upgrade, or have the rotors re-drilled.

1995 factory brochurehttp://www.socal240sx.org/faq/1995.htmlBase and SE models are more similar than most people think. Leather was only available on SE models, but ABS/VLSD and sunroofs were optional on both. Suspension is basically the same as Structure said. You could probably bolt on a rear SE sway bar to a base model. Its mostly appearance stuff (gauges, wheels, and spoliers)

if you find a nice base model, dont skimp. nice 240s are very hard to come by. i waited a month and a half before i finally found my baby in near perfect condition. look at my car. it looks like an SE doesnt it? the only way you can tell my car isnt a SE is the 4 lug, but i dont even care about 4 vs 5. you can redrill 300zx rotors and they work just as if it were on a 5 lug. i even got a SE rear sway bar too. the cost to make my car VERY similar to a SE was only $450 (price of rims and tires, fogs, front lip, and rear sway bar).

mos def a base (when i first bought it for dirt cheap)

****, looks like an SE....

if i hadnt told you my car was a base, would youve known? SEs mostly have appearance differences from the base aside from the sway bar, vlsd on abs models and alloy wheels. i saved thousands by getting this not as cool looking base when i first got it as opposed to getting an SE. from my experience ive found that purchasing this near perfect base a dream. happy 240 shoping!

The difference is ...... you should buy the SE if possible. It will server you well in the long run.

No, not all of the SEs have ABS+VLSD. It was still an option even on the SE trim level. (Should have been STANDARD for all trim levels!)

If we were only lucky enough to all review vlsd's in all models.

5lug vehicles do have a better rim selection, but as far as brakes, the Z brakes (or Q brakes for that matter) are plenty strong enough, and the rotors are EASILY redrilled for 4lug, most places dont even charge u for it (heavythrottle etc.). And your friend wouldnt have to spend 1k on spindles and hubs and such.... he could just steal yours
