When I push the clutch in and hit the key, all I get is a click. I can't exactly pinpoint it though. I can hold the clutch in the entire time and after I hit the key 2-3 more times it finally cranks. Before that, I get nothing but clicks when I hit the key. Today it took something like 10 key turns of clicks before it finally cranked. I'm afraid one day it won't crank at all. It run and drives super anyway.

I understand it could be a relay, or probably the starter solenoid, but I don't want to dump hundreds in multiple parts into the car for fix one problem.

Ideas?

Just cleaned every ground and the starter cable.

No luck.

Redo your battery cable terminals with new terminals on both sides. Should clear it up.

It may leave you sitting, try that asap!

i had a similar problem, but it seemed to occur only when the engine was warm. Once the engine cooled down it would crank normally. I ended up bypassing all my relays/clutch switches to no avail. In the end i replaced the starter and it has cranked every single time for the last week, so i think the issue was the starter solenoid.

Cheers,Marko
