The problem just started today out of no where. When you have it just pointing to your face or feet. It will make this clicking sound. So to solve this problem i just used the setting that points to your face and feet at the same time. Well today I used the front window vent to get out the frost. When i clicked the foot/face setting again. It would'nt come out of the dash vents. Instead it continued to come out of the window vent.

Is there anything that can be done to solve this problem?

it sounds like you have a mode door actuator problem. either out of adjustment or the limits in it have gone south. poke your head under the dash and locate door that is moving or attempting to move when you push the button to select a different discharge duct.

its gonna be mounted to the large black box behind your radio, likely to one side or the other, you should be able to see it without removing any panels.

Here you go, it is on the drivers side near the top of the box.
