I just changed the head gasket, and the timing chain. Everything was running good, then i put some gas in and it wont start. So i leave it for like a day it starts, and runs rough get it to my garage shut it off. Now it wont start at all. It has fuel, and spark. The timing is good ive checked that over and over. Even got new plug wires that helped a little but back to the same thing. When i do get it started it runs fine, then i shut it off and it wont start again. Any ideas would be awesome.

Sounds like it could be running rich. When you cut it off and it won't restart you need to pull the plugs out and see if they are black(fouled) or wet. Is the check engine light on? Maybe a bad coolant temp sensor. We need a little more info.

Ya when i cut it off and the pull the plugs out they are black, and wet. So would the coolant temp. sensor cause it to not start and run rich? Sorry im new to this car and havent gotten a FSM yet.

somebody roaming around here has links to the FSM in their sig...check some threads, i used to see him all the time.

If your plugs are that wet, I don't think its just a problem of running rich, though I'm not doubting the other ideas..

Sounds like your fuel is leaking after you shut it off since you say it runs fine when you do get it started....

Are ALL of the plugs wet? Or just like 3 or 4?? I can't remember if theres a check valve in our fuel system or not that keeps fuel from backflowing into the fuel rail.

I can't really go and look at my car right now, or i'd be more help (i'm deployed )

good luck

All of the fuel lines in the engine bay are new. I am going to check the coolant temp sensor, and get some new plugs again tommorow.

Put the new plugs in, and checked all the wires. Start it up and the fan kicks on, shouldnt do that in 30 degree weather. So i bought the CTS and it starts right up and runs a lot smoother than before. THANK YOU RIOREDSTANG.
