I just got this car barely 2 months ago and the car is clean as hell has around 148k miles, auto transmission, never been molested other than has a alarm on it everything else is stock down to the radio. The car has been having issues slowly starting recently on me but still would finally on Monday, 12/17, went out to my car after running a errand and the car tried to turn over and just stopped after 3 times of turning over!!! I figured it was the battery replaced it with new one and car wouldn't even turn over. My friend and I checked the starter he said that it was still good, all fuses are good under dash and under hood, starter signal wire is seemed good, said that solenoid seemed ok and was clicking!!! Anyone have any ideas here we are stuck and this is the only ride I have at the moment wife is having to give me ride to and from work due to my supra being down at the current time. Need some help from some bros. Thanx-Chad

I'd say get the alternator checked out and make sure the battery is properly grounded

so let me get this right, the car has been cranking slowly for a few days and now dose not crank at all. The alternator will not prevent the car from starting with a good battery. you hear the starer engaging, click when you turn the key. few things, try jumping the battery, just because it is new dose not mean it is good. turn your lights on and try to start the car, do the lights dimm? no, you have a electrical problem, the starter is not drawing power, get a wirering scem of starting sys. if they do, use a braker bar and try to turn the crank, if you can, replace starter, if you cant pull off the belts and check you accesories(alt, ps, ac) try to rotate crank with belts off, if you cant, you have a big prob. hope this helps. remember, it takes some force to rotate the crank by hand.

im with him, first glance would say that its the starter but if you hear the silonoid click, dose the starter try to move? a little vague on ur discription of ur test?

next would be... dose the motor have oil in it? if so how clean is it

lil story: had a truck w 68k come into my garage, stalled on hiway wouldnt start back up, they want new alt. we look at it has good battery no need to suspect alt looking round the starter engages flywheel but dosnt move?????? we then try to move crankshft manually, no luck??? we drain oil it took a good 1hour to get the bulk of the oil out. it was black and gunky and probly never changed in at least 30 of that 68k. bad oil killed a truck w only 68k , oil changes are not jus a money making scheme for oil companies, they are needednot saying this is ur problem but i would check that out
