first post on the forum so pls forgive me if i posted this improperly...

i have a 95 240 and yesterday someone mentioned my brake lights not coming on and then i noticed my turn signals were also not working.

im not very good with electrical stuff and a very novice mechanic in the first place but i dont have the money to take it to a shop right now...

i checked every single fuse in the kick panel on the drivers side but none were blown. can anyone pls help me figure out whats wrong.

maybe all the bubls just blew at once? Welcome to the world of nissan electrical problems, it was only a matter of time. When my lights are off at night and i open my driver side door the gauge cluster lights start blinking, then when i hit my turn signals my clock flashes with it...

that sounds like it may be an accessory relay or something. does anything else not work?

everything else seems to work fine as far as i can see and its not just the bulbs it doesnt make that clicking noise for the turn signals either... a buddy suggested replacing the fuse just to be safe cuz sometimes they dont look blown when they are. can anyone tell me where i can find the relay for the turn signals and how i could check that?

ok, you have two separate problems. brake lamps could be a brake swith or something. try jumping the brake switch and see if lights come on.

turn signal could be an unplugged hazard switch or bad multi remote relays. the accessory relay is not in this circuit(sorry). both multi remote relays are on drivers rear of car. like where someone in the back seat on drivers side would rest their left arm. at least thats where the picture shows them.

you've got another fuse block underneath the hood. the tail, brake and turn signal lights should all have a fuse down there. it's a black plastic cover by the battery that pops off. i once had the same problem and took my car in to have a mechanic change the fuse because i had no idea what it was either. $80 to replace a $ .50 fuse. avoid that.

sry took me so long to respond my grandfather ended up being taken to the hospital so i wanted to go see him but hes fine now so im back to working on teh car... and i found the problem the turn signal fuse was blown after all and the bulbs blew for the brake lights ended up the third brake light was still working witch lead me to the bulbs... anyways looks like waters geting into the trunk and then into the tails lights witch blew the fuse and the bulbs and hasnt happened before cuz i normaly keep my car in the garage... so now i gotta get the trunk weatherstripping but i cant afford the 60 bux the stupid dealer wants for it. anyone know if someone makes a universal that will work or a replica for way way cheaper?
