my trannny was bad in the car when i bought it but it took a pressure plate and throw out bearing to figure it out. when i was driving it home from the shop( 1st ok, 2nd synchro busted, 3rd slipping, 4th slipping, 5 slipping. so while tryin to make it the 15 miles home in 3rd and 4th the engine revd high and the dash gauges stopped working. i got it home and changed the fuse and revvd it again to isolate the problem. does anyone have any ideas what this could be. the only bare wires i am aware of are the strereo wires("person" before me cut them then stripped the wires bare) i have them taped off and it still happens any help or suggestions would be a great help. thanks

Could be a wire shorting out some where, could also be a bad voltage regulator letting the voltage go too high.
