95 240 cd player in a 97 altima

i took out my cd player on my 240 and my sister wants it now in her car. would it be a easy fit? no mods to put in? let me know.. thanx

Was hoping one of the "installers" that frequent our friendly forum would weigh in on this one.

A few questions...- Are they the same size (DIN / Double DIN)?- Do either have Bose or "active" systems?- If you have the 240's stereo out, can you compare the plug/connectiosn on the back of it to the Altimas (search ebay for the Altima's current and compare that way)?

Let's see if that helps us figure this out.

how do i get this 01'altima cd player in my 96 240 it turns on, plays cd's, and tunes in radio stations, but no sound..it hooks up to my factory 240 harness allready but no sound....

the 240 radio into the altima should not be a problem. just make sure that you dont have the active speaker systems. either both must have the active speaker system or nither one. the reason why the 01 altima cd player in the 240 does not work is most likely because of the active/non active system integration. the harness is the same, but the speaker and output voltages are all out of whack. it is possible to make it work, but sometimes you will have to get an amplifier and a converter to be successful.
