feels like they dont grip to the max. It has new brake pads but im thinking its the rotors. I would change to aftermarket but i heard that aftermarket waste faster than stock. Does anyone know what i should do and if stock last longer than aftermarket?

you break in the brakes yet?

Harder braking compounds usually will bite into the rotor harder than your oem compounds if that's what you mean. OEM vs Aftermarket, it depends. Different compounds take wear differently and also depends on how you work the pedal.

Rule of thumb: You're gonna have to pay to play.

well yes ive broke in the brakes. One thing for sure is that im not crazy with the brake pedal. I dont stop hard or anything, its just a typical stop. What do you recommend? does anyone else recommend anything? im just trying to figure things out thats all.

Well I've been using Axxis metal masters with brembo cross drilled and slotted for the past 5 years. Main reason for that is with the Kragens/Checkers/Shuckers (sp on the last one?) they have a lifetime warranty even against wear. Being the cheapo student on a budget, you can see where this goes. Even with my lead foot, it's not too bad. Just take it easy the first stop or two till it warms up a bit.

Hawk HPS are great pads, just they chew up the rotor a bit more than the metal masters from what I've experienced.

I haven't tried the Axxis Ultimates, but one local said they chewed out his rotors. Dunno what to make of that.

EBC green stuff, was also pretty tough on the rotors.

I don't really recommend Project Mu or Endless or some of the other crazier and more expensive pads for normal drivers since there's no real need for it. Overkill on a consumable part that costs alot more than something else that'll do the job just fine.

If you're looking for just a regular ol' brake pad, I'd go with oem. I had tried a few of the pads listed up top with oem rotors and they didn't seem to work as well.

my brakes feel crappy too, ig ot ABS, and when i slam them to the groung they dont even grab hardenough to activate the abs, but mine could be cause my car sat for a while and my rotors are all rusty and got grooves in them.
