Take the shortcut and read all of Q45tech's posts. You'll get about 95% of what you need.

Or start with the Cliff's Notes. Search for a txt file attachment in Infiniti Gerneral of early A45tech posts. Or send me an email and I'll send both on CD.

Huh? How does this work? I know by holding the door open button on my 94 the windows go down, but what are you doing with the sunroof?

Holding the driver's side window button and releasing lets the window go down by itself. The same goes for the sunroof. The one-touch feature. I think I remember reading something about that option being removed from 94's. I know i have it in the '92.

I think that feature still exists on the 94 for the window - it has worked occassionally but doesn't anymore. I don't know if I had that on my sunroof. Sounds like you've got a good Q there.

we now return this thread to its regularly scheduled theme.

Probably the switch, Dan. Mine worked when I got it, but after I had the upper door vinyl replaced (had to remove the switch) the one-touch stopped working. I just never got around to figuring out why.

Haha. Thanks Dan.

I was explaining to this girl who was riding with me that almost everything that is standard on cars now, Q's were some of the first to have it. (Which is what makes Q owners so cool.) We were discussing the lack of an "All door unlock" feature. You know how you can lock all the doors in the Q from the outside with the key? Apparently the Q engineers didn't design a way to unlock all of the doors in that same fashion. If there is a way to do it in a '92, I haven't discovered it yet.

Sorry to stray from the topic.

You're gonna love this.

Turn the key to unlock the doors 2x. Once unlocks the driver's door, 2x unlocks all doors.

WHAT?!?! That's crazy! Does this work for the passenger door too?

Lately I've been having to pull the Calogero and hope that after I gallantly unlock and the girl's door that she leans over and unlocks mine. Those that have seen "A Bronx Tale" know what I mean.

Yup. Passenger door too! Kudo's for you for opening her door. Exactly what a classy Q owner should do on a date!

I even open the door for my boss who is very "in charge", but I let her close it.

Great. Thanks a lot Dan. I'm still considering a keyless entry system for the Q though. I hate fumbling for keys in the cold/rain.

HA HA! Keyless entry is standard. All ya gotta do is surf ebay and find a remote. Plenty of programming inx on NICO.

Are you amazed at your 15 year old car yet? Imagine what a marvel it was in 1992 when you were...

What? Standard? On a '92? I thought that didn't happen until '93? All of the remotes I've seen are for '93 to present day. It seems that my only option is aftermarket.

Boooo.

Oh well. Guess I'll pick up an Avital or a Viper system.

BTW, I did the door unlock feature from the outside last night. Totally impressed my lady friend. Chalk another one up for the Q!
