I learned last week, I have a leak at the O ring, in the rear, where the drive shaft and transmission connect. This morning I got in the car, but it would not go up the incline to exit the garage. I parked it and saw the transmission fluid trail. It was red, looked clean, so that was a relief. It had a flush two yrs ago. I plan to have it towed in to the shop in the tomorrow.

My question is..... while I am having this repair done, are there other things I should consider replacing?

It's more common for the turbine rev or output rev to go bad and fluid will wick all the way thru the harness and drip out the back where the connector are. Unplug the connectors back there and see if any fluid drips out of them. Havn't seen too many output seal leak though.

Never towed, always flatbedded!

Replace the main seal while the transmission is down for almost nothing but the seal itself ( $10).

Seriously consider replacing the the transmission (3rd motor) mount and the associated exhaust hangars, again essentially for the cost of the parts.

Auxiliary ATF cooler? Good time to exchange the ATF fluid.

It has never been towed. I am sorry wrong term. I do have a cooler installed by Wes over a year ago. This is just what I was needing to know.

I have not been under it to see exactly what is going on, but I sure hope it is not the turbine rev, output rev and I do not have to replace the harness. The main seal, the mount and the hangars will be done either way. Thanks for the info.
