94Q Taping of Connectors?

I got my 94Q back after having the valve cover gaskets replaced and I don't remember so many colored wires exposed going into the connectors around and above the ornamental covers(spark plug).

Did the mechanic take the grey/black electrical tape of when taking all of the connectors apart or is my memory going? (especially noticeable on about 4 or 5 connectors on the passenger side) If he did take the tape off, how important is it to re-tape?

if you take a picture of it i can look at it and tell you whats going on....

Maybe the adhesive was dried out and it kept unwinding and peeing him off, I've been there.

Wind some fresh tape on so it looks pretty.

Why ask? If you feel tape is necessary, then tape away. Use zip-ties too.

Here is a picture of the passenger side with most of the three clusters of connectors (same generaly situtation on the other side). If taping was on original assembly (to reduce heat exposure to wires or some other reason), is regular electrical tape used or special high temp tape?

Regular tape works fine, or you can buy colors...
