Greetings to all

No rocket science here, just a simple question. I'm getting the brake pads worn message on the display

I have the service manual, but have not done the brakes (myself) on the Q before. I see there is a sensor on the right front, plus some shims on all of the pads.

Any special "tricks" or tools needed to replace the pads properly?? Any additional parts that I might need to replace clips or anything that should not be reused?? lubricants, grease, etc.?

Thanks

It is standard practice to turn the rotors before replacing pads and shims. Especially if driving aggressively, or a lot of urban miles.

You can get the hardware kit from Scottsdale that includes all the spring clips, shims, and grease to go with the pad replacement. Most people reuse the old stuff, but if you follow the manual, I think it instructs that they be replaced. You'll only need to remove 2 shear pin bolts on each brake to remove the caliper. A c-clamp or similar will be needed to press in the pistons; be careful not to allow the brake fluid in the reservoir to get too high. How do you know it's the fronts that need replacing? Both axles have a sensor on one of the right pads.
