Hi there, just bought a 94 TT Z , and after a lot of reading , the first thing I want to spend on is on muffler and removing the HICAS.

I have found many removal kits and instructions but for 90-93 z32 ... I hoped that 94-96 didn't came with this, but it have an electronic one.

I need a guide and a where to buy the parts to get this removed, I haven't used it as much to notice this, but I don't want a computer to mess with my rear tires.

Please help. Thanks

Disabling the HICAS from the 94-96's is a real pain in the butt. It's so hard that most people just leave it be, or sell the car.

But if you really really want to disable it you have to:

1. Pull the HICAS fuse

2. Have a beer and call it a day.

Haha it's really that simple for the electric hicas. The major problems are with the 90-93 because they are hydraulic and the system is overly complex to fix. If the electric one is giving problems and or you don't want it, just remove the fuse. If it's not giving you any problems you can leave it alone unless you really don't want it.

LOL :D :D :D , but does this doesnt turn on the Hicas light on cause I will hate that! And well, also will the tires stay in the right angle (straight forward)?

I wouldn't like this to be a mess later, I would prefer what 300ZXttZMAN said to me.

94-96 USDM TT cars had electronic hicas which means you don't have to change the pump ect. All you need is the delete bar IIRC kit.

Welcome to NICO!!
I don't know if this kit would make the job http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_in ... ts_id=1847.

Thanks a lot :D

The Hicas light shouldn't come on because removing the fuse basically eliminates it from the system. As for the wheels staying the right way, yes they should others have just pulled the fuse and left it. I suppose hypothetically the angle could change, but it really shouldn't since it won't receive a signal to do so. The hydraulic systems on the other hand can lose fluid, have seals go bad, etc. which would definitely mess with it.

But yeah to prevent any kind of movement and have peace of mind you can buy the lock-out bar/eliminator and call it a day. You won't need a full eliminator kit because you don't have all the hydraulic equipment

This^ I would do it for peace of mind if I were the OP. Also yes you really only need the bar.

Thanks :D ok so this will be my first mod, remove the fuse and get the hicas lock-out bar.

Do you guys know where I can get it, I've looked everywhere, and I still keep seeing that it only works for 90-93 TT ,
http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart ... 134.139.76 , like this one. I want one cheap (less than $250), but good.

Based on this;

http://www.zshop.ca/parts/13418/

You can only use the 90-93 lockout bar if you also use 90-93 tie rods.

How did you go with this?

I want to remove the electronic HICAS from my series 6 Z32. I have a 3.5" single exhaust which fouls on the HICAS motor. I also don't like 4WS so have currently pulled the fuse (FYI: which does activate the HICAS warning light on the cluster/dials).

This kit would work and rid of the tie rods: http://www.driftworks.com/driftworks-to ... issan.html

Hi there, I haven't removed it yet. I am looking exactly for this driftworks kit. They say that it works on z32 so I definetibly will buy this instead of the eliminator bar.

For turning the dash light off I think you need to Unplug smaller plug from hicas , next to ecu under passenger dash.

If you are going to get this kit let me know how it was. I need to save some money yet. But I want to know where I can get it in the US

I have read that the driftworks aren't the best for longevity. Here is another option & one I will look at when funds permit:

For the meantime though, I'll just bypass it by having the fuse removed :)
