* long post I'm sorry*
Hi all, so my buddy just recently bought a 94 TT Z32. When he bought the car it ran great for a couple of days. We took the spark plugs out and decided to replace them cuz they were looking a little rough. After we replaced them a tick came out of no where. I read on here that it could be a gapping issue. So we're re gapped the plugs and that didn't fix the tick. The we realized the electrical connect on cyl 2 was snapped causing an intermittent misfire. So today we fixed the wiring on cyl 2 and put brand new OEM plugs gapped to spec in and changed the oil. But the tick is still there. Oil pressure is a little low and the pan is a little dented, his passenger side turbo has a nasty oil leak and he's only getting 5psi boost on a good run, and you can smell gas in the oil we drained out and in the new oil we just put in. I'm not sure if these things will cause anything but it's worth a mention. Because we are lost on what the F this tick is now. Any help is much appriciated. Sorry for the long post

I would also be concerned HOW the gas got in the oil. do a compression and leak down test. check injectors to make sure one or more isnt leaking.

sounds to me like you have at least one bad injector. A bad injector can wash down a cylinder pretty quick and fuel saturated oil doesn't lubricate very well. +1 on a compression and leakdown. Fuel passes by the rings easy enough, the problem is the fuel washes away the oil on the cylinder wall as it passes the rings and can wear out that cylinder FAST.
