Can anyone tell me how to get the covers off the sideview mirrors of a 94 Q ? I just bought some replacement mirrors off a 94 to put on my 90. the 90 has a screw in the bottom of the cover that lets the mirror come out so you can get to the three screws holding the cover on, but the 94 doesn't have the screw to remove the mirror and i'm not sure how to get this apart. Thanks........

Start shaking the spray can, my spare is white. Think about starting a thread in both parts forums- Infiniti Parts for Sale and Parts Wanted to Buy. There's got to be someone out there with a silver side view mirror at a fair price. Good luck.

Ok Mike, thanks for the suggestions. I will be making those posts. I think the spray paint will work for now untill I find suitable replacements. I was looking at the pic of your 90 (very nice) and I think I like the line across the back of the mirror instead of the rounded back on the 94. Do you know what year they changed the mirror design?

90-93 (badge on hood) and 94-96 (grill on hood). I never noticed the difference in shape of the mirrors, only that the wiring and connectors were different. Compare the connectors on your mirrors. Spray paint any 90-93 mirror assembly as a temporary fix until a silver one comes around. Have you tried car-parts.com?

No I haven't tried car-parts.com, but I will. The wiring connectors appear to be the same; same plug, same number of wires. However, the insides of the mirrors are quite different. The 94 has considerable more weight to it. There seems to be a larger motor and an electrical component that is completely absent from the 90. I don't know if the mirrors have different features or just differences in design/ improvements. My concern now is if the power requirements are the same and if my 90 can operate the mirrors from the 94, maybe some difference in the switches or the fuse panel.
