Does it have a turbo?

FWD and red top = Bluebird engine, which should be an SR20DET.

It's a non turbo, So I guess that settles that. I didn't say before but I used to own a blue '93 sentra se-r with some aftermarket exhaust and clutch work but this engine is slightly different from that one, I'll try and get some pics up here real soon. Thanks for the good info.

Could just be a red valve cover on a DE. The owner didn't explain the swap?

The guy I bought it from had no clue what it was he said it had a 98 red top in it and he had the paperwork for the engine itself (which I'm still waiting on) if anyone could tell me the P/N's to look out for that would be great. Still no pictures sadly, it needs some fixing up on the interior and exterior department, but like I said hopefully I'll have some soon.

I did some(ALOT actually) Image searching on the web and I think I've found a near perfect faximile of the engine. it's on this web site (hope noone minds the hyperlink) http://www.jgycustoms.com/motors.htm . It's the "P11 primera Euro sr20de low port. Rare red valve cover sr20de." I have to do some more looking and I assure you as soon as I get some pics I'll put them up.

That's what my guess was going to be, that or a painted valve cover depends on how your intake setup looks.

So it's not the P11 low port like I thought, after some more visual referencing I noticed some difference in where a certain pipe was run on the front, I'll get some pics up this weekend to help out anyone who wanted to see.

thats a regular jdm lowport sr. throw a bluebird or avenir turbo kit on there and you'll be more than happy. as long as this motor runs good, i wouldn`t bother with a swap.

Best bet is to try Ebay, Craigslist, and other classifieds. Lots of people upgrade their BB/Avenir turbo setups and sell off the stock parts.
