ok, so i bought this car about 3 months ago, recently (about a month) i found out that he was running the car without a thermostat. well, figuring the car needed the thermostat i installed one. The car ran decent for a while, the temp needle stayed in the middle but on occasion it got close to H but then came back to the middle. I've been working on bleeding it but having no luck. Anyway, about a week ago the hose that connects the radiator to the thermostat housing came off and i lost all my coolant, i found this out when the car exceeded the H mark and i pulled over. Turns out the OEM clamp that holds that hose on broke, so i bought a new one, put it on, re-filled with coolant, and rebled.
Here's where the problem comes in, now when i drive, if i'm idling (like at a red light, stopped in traffic, etc) the needle starts to make its way from the middle to the H but doesn't come back down unless i either rev the engine (4k rpm or so) or take off from that stop.
Asside from a rare rough start (car shaking and all that, lasts for a minuteish) there are no other symptoms. As i mentioned i've replaced the thermostat and have plenty of coolant. I think its the waterpump but there is no odd sound comming from it...
Does anyone have any idea what else it could be?
