while changing my oil i noticed the smell of gaso line in my oil reserve. the car recently has had problems shifting in reverse, upon backing up - the car dies. the car has a noticable throttle going up hill. has anyone had similar problems? if so, can you point me in the right direction?

thanks a bunch,-t

Sounds like an injector or two is sticking open and pouring fuel into your engine. Best to get it fixed, as gas in the oil ruins bearings.

90-96 Q45 injectors do not stick open, maybe a 1 in 100,000 vehicles chance. Every documented fuel leak {hundreds] has been from defective orings around injector installed by untrained incompetent mechanic/owner.

I routinely speak to 5 dealerships and we have 3 shops so that is ~ 10% of the Q still on the road in US.

I have seen and heard of a defective ecu where the driver was shorted to ground but that was result of owner tampering!

Of course with E10 anything might be possible?
