Help!

I just noticed that my interior lights (dome, door and foot well) lights are not turning off at all . They are not off when driving and not off when the car is turned off and the doors locked (the security light is on though).

I have checked, and there is no door open (the info center does show when a door is open and turns off when closed). The car operates fine otherwise, but won't if these kill the battery.

I just noticed this today, but a couple things have happened recently that may/may not be a coincidence.

Got two new front tires put on WednesdayGot the car washed yesterday.Noticed Thursday night that my fob no longer worked (but still beeps), my wife's fob still works. In attempt to "fix" my fob I ran through the fob reprogramming procedure. In the process I nixed the working fob, but was able to program it back in, my fob still doesn't work however.

It was after reprogramming the fobs that I noticed the lights, but they could have been a problem before (though I don't think they could have been on for long as the battery would have died).

I have switched off the dome light but the lights in the doors and the foot wells are still on as I type.

Any ideas?!

[update]Um, yeah, it helps to turn OFF the interior light ON switch. In my defense I was cleaning the interior today and that's how it got turned on, by accident.

okay, i won't rub it in since you found the problem. 'carwash' was the clue. those guys always bump the switches. did you check to make sure your rear view mirror winshield damper is still in place?

That last question is a damn good one. Most people don't know they have one. Also, as a point of trivia, I have yet to see a G50 where the plastic strip around the automatice mirror dimmer control was removed during PDI. It's almost invisble anyway.

MSQ45, hope to see your car again when I am in Seattle alter this summer. I might drive mine up, but I haven't decided.

Ok, you got me, is the win(d)shield damper?

Maxnix - let me know when you are going to be around... BTW car is running sweet aside from what feels like a failing MAF (it's got 148k on the original one, so it's about time I guess).

There is a little spacer between the mirror and windshield.

MSQ45t, why don't you email me as I probably lost your email address.
