"Brake pad worn" light just came on. (This is possibly the first time, but we got the car with 44k from a dealer. )

Any suggestions for replacement pads? I don't mind stock, but if there is a better pad please pass along the info. And anything else that needs attention at the same time? Thanks TP

According to Dennis (Q45Tech), stock OEM Infiniti are probably the best way to go. I use them on cross-drilled, slotted Bradi rotors (from Irotors.com) with excellent results. Price for the pads from Joe at Scottsdale Infiniti are very, very good.

I Agree with "Z"

My wife gets all delearship oil changes, parts, and servcie, and the best tires I can find, on her I30t.

Although, I have some cheap brake pads on my Q (I didn't have time to wait on the dealership - late night repair). I fully intended to replace them the next week, but they stop fine, and don't squeak (possibly the only non-OEM set in the world that doesn't squeak).

I put a front set on, when the warning came on (you will have to replace the sensor, now, since it self-distructs in order to give the warning), and the rears tripped their sensor about 2 weeks later.

I kinda like the MetalMatrix pads. They are a tad noisier but dont seem to sacrifice cold braking too much in order to improve hot braking.Still the OEM are very good.

Be sure ask the dealer for the earliest formulation OEM pad they carry they have 3 part #'s I think and the newest one is the qietest and least dusting BUT the old ones are the best braking ones.

I'm loving the OEM pad / Stillen Drilled rotor combination on "Q2" that I bought from Joe.

So far so good!
